Organization Purpose
Generic Leather Productions of Washington (GLPW) exists to raise monies to support other non-profit human services
organization servingcthe sexual minority community.
Each year, GLPW produces several leather title events and other productions which supply funds for our charitable grant programs
honoring the first Seattle Mr. Leather, Billy Jefferson, and NWLeatherboy 2005, James Hall.
Beneficiaries to receive grants from the Billy Jefferson Memorial Fund (BJMF) are selected at the end of GLPW's Fiscal year. Candidate
organizations and individuals are nominated by members, and the entire membership votes for the final recipients at the annual meeting.
Grants from the James Hall Memorial Fund may be requested at any
time. Funds are distrusted, as needed, in response to approved grant applications.
Although any 501(c)3 organization is eligible for grant from the Billy Jefferson Memorial Fund, and any family of a member of the leather community
may request a grant from the James Hall Memorial Fund, GLPW places special emphasis on chartable organizations service the health needs of the sexual minority
community and individuals who are in dire need. We also seek smaller organizations for which the modest grant monies we can provide are more significant.
